Straight answers on quotes, booking, delivery, permits, accessibility, servicing and New York winter and storm conditions.
Your questions, answered
Where in New York State can you deliver?
Calls come in from every corner of the state: the five boroughs, Long Island out to the Hamptons, Westchester and the Hudson Valley, the Capital Region, Central NY and the Finger Lakes, and Western NY from Rochester to Buffalo. We confirm whether we can reach your exact address by phone. See the full list of service areas.
How do I get a price for my job?
Phone us. Have the street address or cross streets ready, plus the drop-off date, the length of the rental and your expected headcount. A short prep list sits on the quote page.
Why don't you list prices?
The price depends on the unit, the quantity, how long you keep it, cleaning visits, winter treatment, mileage and access, and in the city that can mean permits and curb space too. We price every job on its own. Our cost guide breaks down the main factors.
How far ahead should I book a summer or holiday weekend?
The day your date is locked in. Late spring through autumn is the crunch, with graduations, weddings, festivals and State Fair season, and a bad storm can tie up equipment fast. If you are short on time, phone and ask what can still be arranged.
How do I get my site ready for delivery?
Pick solid, level ground a truck can get to, move cars, snow or materials out of the way, sort out any permits, gate codes or building sign-offs, and have someone on site who will pick up the phone. The delivery page goes into more detail.
How do I figure out the right number of units?
Peak crowd, hours, alcohol and food all matter. Start with the calculator, read our unit-count guide and then check the figure with us.
Do you offer accessible units?
Yes, we rent accessible units, depending on what is available for your dates. A solid, level, cleared path matters just as much as the unit itself, which is why it helps to read our accessible restroom planning guide.
Is a rental of several months possible?
Yes. Building projects, remodels and seasonal operations usually run on scheduled cleaning and an agreed removal date, with tank treatment added when the rental crosses into winter. See long-term rentals.
Will I have to supply water or electricity?
Not for standard portable toilets. Deluxe units, sink stations and restroom trailers can need water or electricity, and heated trailers require a dependable power supply. We go over the specifics by phone.
A unit has a problem during my rental. What now?
Phone the number shown on this site, explain the issue and where the unit is located, and we will sort out the next step together.
Is a permit or board approval usually required?
Often, yes: an NYC DOT permit for a street or sidewalk spot, a street event or Parks permit, a film permit, town or village event approval, or co-op, condo or venue rules. Ask the agency or permit holder first. Contractors should also read the OSHA sanitation basics.
Bad weather is coming during my rental. What should I do?
Phone us early. Snow, ice, wind, flooding and closed roads all affect what is safe and practical, and we will go over the options without promising results. Our winter weather guide and storm planning guide help you prepare.
